Ireland

In 2012 we took a 4 week trip to Ireland.  Our niece, Colleen, went with us for the 1st week on her way to a summer in Rome.  We stayed the first couple of days in Dublin with a friend who worked at the US Embassy.  Then we headed across the country to the Galway area to look up relatives for Colleen.  We returned to Dublin, put her on a plane and headed out for 3 more weeks on our own with the intention of driving all the way around the island.  At the end of the next week, Diane fell off a bicycle we were considering renting and ended up in the hospital for 3 days and getting 10 pins put into her ankle.  However, we got a portable wheel chair and continued the trip and had a wonderful time.  Diane rode in the back seat with her leg up between the front two seats.  And we can't say enough about the wonderful care she got from the British medical system!  Anyway, here are some of the pictures from this trip.  I hope you enjoy them.
