In early May, we headed out on another extended birding trip. Our route took us south to Longwood Gardens; on to DC to visit friends; to Cumberland, MD to bike part of the Greater Allegheny Passage bike trail; then to Shawnee State Park in Ohio for birding; on to Akron, Ohio to bike, bird and visit friends and family; to Magee Marsh on Lake Erie for birding; to Tawas Point Michigan for birding; to Mio, MI to find the Kirtland's Warbler; on to the upper Peninsula of Michigan to Seeney NWR; then to a 5 day Road Scholar program in Eagle River Wisconsin; south to Horicon NWR; on to Indianapolis to visit friends who gave us a wonderful tour of the city including the visiting clay figures from China; to Niagra Falls; to Rochester NY to visit friends; and finally home again. It was one of our most extensive and varied trips. I hope you enjoy it.
