In the Fall of 2014, Diane and I took our first trip to Africa. We traveled with Road Scholar on their first "birding" safari in Africa. They took a successful safari trip and tweaked it to put more emphasis on looking for birds. It was a wonderful trip and our leader, Lisa, was an outstanding birder and tour leader. We felt the advantage of the birding trip was that we still saw all the big game animals that everyone wants to see in Africa, but we saw what many didn't - hundreds of bird species that were easy to miss if you weren't looking. We traveled to South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Botswana. I hope you enjoy looking through these reports.
